    • I have ulcers, on the bottom of my big toes, that have resisted healing for a long time. Offloading the toes with "breakaway hexagons" has not helped. My Orthopedist has even tried grafting new tissue onto the ulcers, but the grafts, along with the dressings covering them, always seem to move off of the ulcer to the side of the toe, or sometimes even the top.

      Can you offer any suggestions?

Possibliy being non-Weight brearing will allow the ulcerations to heal. The only other product we have is the Procare Off-Loading diabetic Shoe https://www.betterbraces.com.au/procare-off-loading-diabetic-shoe

    • Diagnosis : 3rd Metatarsal neck fracture( non-displaced) healthy active athlete
is this indicated brace? if Patient refuses to limit weight bearing is full height boot necessary or is stabilization of foot bones equal?

Patient requests "narrow" smallest cast so can continue to drive stick shift vehicle while wearing cast.

    • is this boot suitable for a minor midfoot fracture (cuboid - 5th metatarsal)?
nd does the air pump fill the area around the foot and not just the ankle? thanks
    • Hello Brian,

The Excel Trax, air cells are located on the medial and lateral ankle. There is not an air cell on the top of the foot, just the cotton blend foot cover.

      Thanks for contacting Donjoy.

    • Can this boot be used to treat a neuropathic ulcer of the forefoot (base of great toe, long since amputated)? If so, is there any special lining or other additional steps that need to be taken to use the boot in t his way? Rest assured, I will be under close scrutiny by my podiatrist if I try this approach, but this ulcer has not healed despite over 14 months of treatment with special half-sole shoes, orthotic inserts and other "half-way" measures. No infection at this point, but have had two multi-month infectious episodes that required prolonged antibiotic regimens.

Is another of your products a better choice for use in this manner?
    • A better choice for you would be the XP Diabetic Walker for proper foot and skin care.

    • Can you wear the boot on either foot? is it universal?
    • Yes you can wear this boot on either foot.
